Gealan is a German company, manufacturer of innovative PVC profile systems for windows, entrance doors, and sliding doors. Gealan was founded by Adam Fikencher in 1921 as a wool processing plant. In 1956, the processing of thermoplastic materials began. The first profile system for window production was developed in 1968 under the name Gealan, which later became the company's name.
In 1980, a colored profile called Acrylcolor was developed. The process of extruding colored acrylic glass with PVC profile was an important innovation for the company, providing a product with high resistance to atmospheric influences and color fastness. Over the next 30 years, the company expanded significantly – a new plant was opened in Tana, Thuringia, and commercial production and logistics centers were established in Poland, Russia, Romania, Croatia, France, and other countries.
GEALAN is the only company for PVC profiles for windows in Europe that offers acrylic surface technologies. Gealan profile systems are characterized by a number of innovative patented technologies. The pleasant-to-touch surface makes the window glossy and modern. Acrycolor – a unique coating, colors characterized by high abrasion resistance. STV – static dry glazing (allows easy production of large windows) IKD – intensive heat insulation (technology with impressive insulation properties). In addition to high quality and innovative technologies, Gealan emphasizes green production and environmental conservation.
